The Lira Dancers - of the Lira Ensemble which specializes in Polish music, song and dance - is auditioning female and male dancers with experience in Polish folk and court dance for its 2005-2006 season.

The Lira Dancers perform in the Chicago area and around the Midwest. All travel expenses for dancers are paid and they receive payment for performances.

Lira Ensemble is artist-in-residence at Loyola University’s Lake Shore Campus in Chicago. However, most dance rehearsals are held on the northwest side of Chicago on weeknights. Occasional weekend rehearsals are also scheduled.

Lira, which is in its 40th season, is known for high professional standards. The mission of the ensemble is to bring the best of Polish culture into American life.
